We get asked this a lot. How are we different from other Internet Service Providers (ISPs)?
Well, say, for example, your company is thinking of getting connected to the Internet,
and you need the connection now. If your company is in any one of the many
properties we have wired-up with IBE, you may already have a
trunk connection to your building. We can drop a line from there to your
office within a week. If not, you can still order standard leased-line connections
at our competitive rates. How about short-term large bandwidth needs? Say, your
company needs to do videoconferencing with your head office in New York. Why
upgrade your line permanently, when you can have Bandwidth On-Demand
with our services. Not convinced ? How about single billing
which means that Tridor aggregates your separate Internet connection, software and
service bills into one single bill saving you time and effort dealing with
several vendors.

In-Building Ethernet (IBE)
What is it ?
In-Building Ethernet (IBE) refers to networks that are setup within buildings.
Previously, when a company needed broadband or high-speed Internet connectivity,
they would have to run a leased-line or cable to their office. This process
typically takes two to three weeks to setup, and each business orders its own
connection, even if the businesses are all in the same building. With IBE, the
building is wired up for high speed Internet connectivity, and the businesses
within that building can order a connection and have it setup within 5 working days,
because the major trunk cable to the building has already been laid. Some buildings,

How would this benefit me ?
Time is money, and sometimes, a 2 to 3 week wait for an Internet connection is
just too long. Companies that are getting connected for the first time typically
want to quickly test how relevant or beneficial a high-speed Internet connection
can be. With Tridor, you will be able to quickly evaluate the value of
broadband Internet to your business.
Bandwidth On-Demand
What is it ?
Suppose your company needs to video-conference with a supplier overseas, but
your current Internet connection probably cannot handle the bandwidth. Do you
order a bigger "network pipe", say, upgrade from 64kbps to 256kbps? How can
you justify getting a bigger pipe for an event that will last only 45 minutes?
Bandwidth On-Demand refers to the ability to allocate additional bandwidth using
existing cables, and Tridor's Intelligent Network architecture is capable
of providing this service. Bandwidth On-Demand means that you do not have to
wait for 2 to 3 weeks to get another cable in, order, install and configure
additional network equipment, and get stuck in a high-bandwidth plan that you
may not typically need. You can use your existing equipment, and your existing
connection, and we will simply upgrade the bandwidth for you within 3 working days.
Single Billing
What is it ?
Sometimes, the business needs of a company cannot come from a single provider.
For example, some companies require telephony services, like Voice over IP (VoIP)
in addition to an Internet connection, or, perhaps some portal software for the
company's web presence. Handling several vendors separately means several small
bills that may be inconvenient to handle or difficult to manage. By consolidating
your Internet connection and services bills together, you only have to deal with
one vendor -- and save youself a lot of time and potential aggravation.
